Carbon sequestration

Carbon dioxide, when released into the atmosphere, is a ‘greenhouse’ gas, and contributes to global warming when it exceeds the amount that can be taken up by trees, plants, soil etc.. Carbon sequestration refers to various means of capturing and storing carbon dioxide to remove it permanently from the atmosphere and mitigate against global warming. We are attempting to measure the rate of carbon sequestration that can be achieved by a floating island and its eco-system.
